| 1. Clothing: -
each team member must carry or wear the following: |
| - Waterproof top and bottoms |

| - polyprop tights, etc). |

| - Shirt/vest jersey or equivalent
specialized wear |

| - Warm layer, polar fleece etc |
|
| - Helmet! - Cycling ANSI, BSI-Snell
- not climbing/canoeing |

| 2. Equipment -
each team member must carry the following: |
| - Whistle |
|
| - Emergency rations( not including
days food) |
|
| - Survival bag( Foil coated plastic
may be the lightest) |
|
| - Pencil, pen or waterproof pen |
|
| - First aid equipment |
|
| - Cell phone for emergencies |
|
| - Pedal Cycle (Tandems, unicycles
are allowed) |
|
| - Rucksack, panniers or lumbar
pack (or a combination). |

| 2. Team Gear - each team
must carry the following: |
|
| - Tent/shelter for two people |
|
| - Food and drink for
the duration of the event |
| - Compass |
|
| - Tool kit (Minimum for puncture
repair, but more is recommended) |
|
| - Cell phone for emergency phone
call |
|
| - Map (The details of the event
area are supplied two weeks before the event.) |
|
| - LIGHTS. The event is planned to
take place in daylight. Should you be caught out in the dark
it is your responsibility to take precautions |
|
| - The exchange of cycle equipment
and tools between teams is permitted as long as both teams can
continue in the competition. |
